Kristin Dexnis, a native of New Jersey, graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Communication and a minor in theatre from Monmouth University. Dance training includes The Place, Pineapple Studios (London, England), The Ailey School, Taylor School, and 92nd Street Y (NYC). Ms. Dexnis had the pleasure of working and performing with Patricia Weiss/ the PAW Project, Marilynn Danitz/ High Frequency Wavelengths Dance Company, Gerladine Cardell, Charly Wenzel, Jessica Danser/ dansfolk, and Germaul Barnes/ Viewsic Expressions. Ms. Dexnis is the artistic director of Basically Ballet Studio and is on the faculy of Ballet Tech and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. Her choreography was commissioned by Ashley Dawson & Company in April 2006.

Patricia Weiss

Patricia Weiss graduated from the Iwanson School of Contemporary Dance in Munich, Germany in 2003. She performed at the Munich State Opera, Lenvachhaus Theatre among others. Ms. Weiss continued her studies in New York City at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. In 2004 she was an apprentice for the Ballettheatre Munich, artistic director Philip Taylor. In New York, Patricia also performed Isador Duncan's original choreography with Dance Visions Dance Company. She joined DeXdance in fall 2003.




Meghen Squires

Meghen L. Squires, a native of Illinois, graduated, Cum Laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2002. She received a BFA degree in dance performance. She performed with Zodiaque, the University’s senior dance company for 3 years, and took part in departmental choreography showcases. She has been involved in residencies with such companies as The Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, Taylor II, Limon Dance Company, ABT II, and Philadanco. Meghen has also taken part in summer intensives with The Rivernorth Dance Company – Chicago, Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, and has danced abroad in Urbino, Italy. Upon relocating to Stamford, CT she has performed in an off-Broadway musical, was member of Bernier Dance Company, and was part of Germaul Barnes’ (former Bill T Jones Company member) Dance 4 U Project/Black Bones which was performed at the Harkness Center in NYC, as well as Martha’s Vineyard. She is excited to have become a part of DeXdance, and looks forward to the projects ahead.


Cory Bliss


Corey Bliss graduated cum laude from the Ailey/Fordham Bachelor of Fine Arts program in May 2007, with a minor in Communication and Media Studies  She began training with Nancy Turano at the New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble in 1995.  Corey frequently performs with the Ensemble as a guest artist in its annual production of The Nutcracker as well as its other repertory works.  She has worked with and performed works by many renowned choreographers, such as Alvin Ailey, David Parsons, Seán Curran, Fabrice Lamego, Eduardo Vilaro, Kyle Ahmed-Bukhari, Jean Emile, Nancy Turano, Kenneth Larson, Earl Mosley, Francisco Martinez, and Vernard Gilmore.  In the summer of 2004, Corey attended Kazuko Hirabayashi’s Summer Dance International in Burgos, Spain and performed in several venues in and around the city.  Corey apprenticed with Pascal Rioult Dance Theatre for their 2006-2007 season.  She is currently on faculty at The Ailey School's First Steps Program and at Yvette Studio in Cranford, NJ, in addition to serving as Company Manager and Assistant Director of Education and Outreach for the New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble. She is also choreographer Jacqulyn Buglisi’s personal administrative assistant. She is honored to make her professional dance debut with DeXdance.

Rebecca Hope Brann

Rebeccah Hope Brann is a Brooklyn born and based dancer. She received her Certificate of Dance from the Alvin Ailey School and in addition to freelancing for different dance projects, is also the founder of HopeDanceNYC. Rebeccah works as a fitness professional/personal trainer and teaches dance and fitness classes and workshops nationally.She is also a proud mother of a beautiful baby girl since 2007. This is her second opportunity to work with DexDance and she is thrilled to be back.
